Dennis Krukowski
2012 Light Work Grant recipient
A brochure announcing the 2012 Light Work Grants has been mailed. Download the form now. Applications can be mailed or delivered to Light Work by the deadline: March 31, 2012.
Applicants are required to submit 10 examples of their work along with a short application form. Three judges from outside the grant area select the recipients based on the merits of their work. Light Work interprets the medium of photography in broad terms and encourages the submission of work produced with new and traditional technologies.
Light Work Grants were established in 1975 to encourage new work and scholarship in Central New York. Each year Light Work awards three grants of $2,000 to photographers, critics, or photo historians. The work of the grant recipients is exhibited at Light Work and reproduced in our publication Contact Sheet.
Applications are accepted January 15 through March 31 of each year. Applicants must reside in one of the following Central New York Counties: Broome, Cayuga, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Schuyler, Seneca, St. Lawrence, Tioga, or Tompkins.
